Our place is at Plot No. 482 in Niladri Vihar, right over in Sector 5. If you know where the main market is, you can find us pretty easily because we are just a short walk from there. Being near the market means it’s always busy around here, with people walking by and cars trying to find parking spots. We deal with food items every day, which means there’s a lot of checking dates and making sure the storage stays clean. The building is a standard plot, nothing too special to look at from the outside, but it’s where we do all our work. Sometimes the dust from the road gets in, so we have to wipe things down more often than we’d like. We don’t have a huge staff, just a few of us who know where everything is kept. It gets a bit cramped when a big shipment arrives and we have to find space for all the boxes. We usually start quite early to beat the market rush. It’s noisy and sometimes stressful when things get backed up, but we’ve gotten used to the rhythm of this neighborhood over the years. We just focus on getting the tasks done and keeping the shelves organized. It is a practical way to spend the day, and being close to the market heart keeps us connected to what is happening in the local area.
