The Mornings Best

We are located right on the P.D.P. Campus in Laxmi Sagar, which means our mornings start earlier than most. We’re usually there while it’s still dark, getting things ready before the students and staff start moving around. The air is always a bit cool then, and the campus is quiet for a little while. The Mornings Best is a straightforward place with simple tables and a kitchen that’s always got something going on. We don’t have a massive menu or anything complicated, just the things that people look for when they’re starting their day. You’ll hear the sound of pans clanking and the smell of whatever we’re cooking drifts out across the Laxmi Sagar area. It’s a bit of a rush once the first classes start, and we’re all moving fast to keep up with the line. The floor usually needs a good sweep by mid-morning because of all the feet coming through. We’ve got a few windows that let in the early sun, which is the best part of the room. It’s not a five-star setup, just a practical spot where people can grab a bite and sit for a minute. We know a lot of the faces that come in every day, and we usually know what they’re going to ask for before they even say it. It’s a good routine to have. We just keep the coffee hot and the food ready until the morning rush is finally over.
