K. I. Z. Foods Limited

Our place is out at Survey No. 199, right on the road between Mahuva and Savarkundla. It’s a bit of a drive out to Taveda, but we like being out here where there’s more room to breathe. We are right next to Murtuza Exports Ltd., which makes it easy to explain to people where to turn off the main road. At K. I. Z. Foods Limited, things stay pretty busy from early morning until late evening. You’ll see trucks coming and going quite a bit throughout the day. It’s a practical workspace, nothing too pretty to look at, just lots of storage and areas where we handle the food products. The dust from the road gets everywhere sometimes, but we keep the inside clean as a whistle. Most of the staff comes from the nearby villages. We’ve known each other for years, so it feels more like a community than just a job. We don’t have any big corporate meetings or fancy speeches. Usually, we just talk over tea in the break area about what needs to get finished by five o'clock. Sometimes the power goes out or the weather makes things difficult, but we’ve learned to work around those hiccups over the years. It is just honest work happening out here in the yard. We focus on the tasks in front of us and try to make sure everything leaving our gate is exactly what it's supposed to be.
