Mahakali Salt

We are located in Kumbharwada, right across from the Hero Honda showroom. It’s a bit of a dusty area because of all the work going on around here, but it suits us just fine for the salt business. We have a lot of space for storage because salt takes up a lot of room and it is heavy. Most of our day involves moving bags around and making sure they are stored properly so they stay dry. Salt is one of those things people don’t think about much, but there is a lot of work that goes into getting it ready and sent out. We have trucks coming in and out of our yard all through the day. The guys working here have been with us for a long time and we all know the routine by heart now. It is hard work, especially when it is hot outside and the sun is beating down on the warehouse roof. We just take our breaks under the shade and keep going. Being opposite the showroom makes it easy for people to find us when they are coming to pick up an order. We don’t do much advertising or anything like that, word of mouth in the neighborhood is usually enough for us. It’s a simple, honest business and we are just here to do our part every day. We hope to keep things going just like this for many more years.
