Saidnagar Farmer Producer Company Limited is based at Omkar Singh’s house, he is Charan Singh’s son. The place is in Manakpurbanjariya, specifically in the area called Manakpur Banjariya Tanda. It’s a bit of a mouthful when you say the whole thing, but it’s just our neighborhood. We started this company because we saw that farmers in our area were often working hard but not getting much for it. Now, we use Omkar’s place as a central spot where we can all meet and figure out how to handle our crops. There’s always someone stopping by to talk about the market or the price of supplies. Manakpurbanjariya is a place where you really depend on your neighbors, and that is what we are trying to do with the company. We don't have any high-tech gear or a fancy building. It’s just a room with some chairs where we can sit down and get our business sorted out. The Tanda area is quite lively, and you can always hear something going on nearby. We spend a lot of time worrying about the rain and the crops, just like our fathers did before us. We are just trying to find a way to keep our traditions going while making sure we can actually make a living. It’s a slow road sometimes, but we are getting there bit by bit. There is no shortcut for the work we do every day.
