We are located over in Sarawaraghurampur Nathaipur. It’s a bit of a mouthful to say if you aren’t from around these parts. Paras Nath Tripathi is the person you’d look for if you needed to find our main meeting spot. This whole thing with Bhadohi Agro started because we wanted to see the local farmers get a bit more organized. We aren't experts at marketing or anything like that, we just know how to grow things in this specific soil. The village is quiet most of the time except when it’s harvest season, then everything gets a bit chaotic and loud. We usually meet up under the shade when it’s hot to discuss what we are going to do next. It is not like those offices you see in the movies or in the city. We have some ledgers and a lot of mud on the floor from people walking in. Folks stop by all day just to chat or ask about the current market prices. We don't have a website or anything like that, we just talk to each other face to face. It’s hard work, especially when the machinery breaks down or the seeds don't arrive when they should. But we’ve lived here all our lives, so we know how to handle the ups and downs. Every day is different, honestly. Some days we are just sitting around waiting, and other days we are working late into the night.
