Vittal'S The Grocery

If you are around Govindraj Nagar, you might have seen Vittal'S The Grocery at 37/4-23-2. It’s a busy little place. We start very early in the morning, usually before the sun is even up, to get the fresh stock in. There are bags of rice, lentils, and all sorts of spices piled up. It smells like a mix of soap and coriander most of the time. We don't have fancy automated systems, just a lot of bags and a manual weighing scale that we trust more than the digital one sometimes. People from the nearby houses come in for their daily milk or some bread. We know most of them by their faces and what they usually buy. The shelves are a bit crowded because we try to fit everything people might need. It gets a bit chaotic in the evenings when everyone is coming home from work and realizes they forgot something for dinner. We just keep moving, filling bags and making change. The floor gets a bit dusty with all the foot traffic but we sweep it when we can. It is a lot of standing and lifting heavy crates, but it’s what we do. We don’t have a website or anything like that. People just know where the shop is on the corner of the street.
