Upadhya Store

Upadhya Store sits at 13 J P Nagar High Grounds, specifically near Shivananda Circle. We are right opposite the Bda Complex, so there are always people coming and going across the street. The store isn't massive, but we’ve managed to fit a lot of different things on the shelves over time. We open up early because that’s when the neighborhood starts moving and people realize they forgot to buy something the night before. Most of our day is spent standing behind the counter, talking to regulars and weighing out items or bagging up supplies. The floor is a bit worn down from all the footsteps, and the shelves are made of old wood that we’ve had for years. We don't have any fancy displays or bright flashing lights; it’s just a regular local shop where you can find what you need without a fuss. Sometimes we run out of things and have to wait for the next delivery truck to navigate the traffic around the circle. Shivananda Circle is a busy junction, so there is always a bit of dust and noise, but it keeps things interesting. We know most of the people who live nearby and we’ve seen kids grow up and start coming in on their own. It’s a simple life running a store like this, but we like the routine of it. We keep track of everything in a ledger and try to keep the place organized as best we can.
