Prathima Bananna Merchants

We are located right on Andrahalli Main Road in the Pantara Palya area. Prathima Bananna Merchants is basically a hub for crates and crates of fruit. Most of our day is spent checking the color of the bananas to see if they are ready or if they need another day or two. It’s a messy business, to be honest. There are always stems and bits of packaging everywhere on the floor. We get trucks coming in early, sometimes while it's still dark out, and we have to get everything unloaded and sorted by size. It's physical work, mostly lifting and stacking. The humidity in the storage area has to be just right, or everything goes bad too fast. We’ve been in Pantara Palya for a while, so the locals know when the fresh loads arrive. It isn't a fancy shop with glass windows; it's more of a working warehouse. We talk to a lot of small vendors who come to buy their stock for the day. Sometimes the bunches are heavy, and your back feels it by the evening. We just keep going, making sure the fruit is moving out as fast as it comes in. There’s a specific rhythm to it, from the unloading to the selling. We don't overthink it, we just handle the produce and try to keep the wastage low. It's just fruit and hard work every day for the team.
