Thimmarayaswamy Fruit Co

Thimmarayaswamy Fruit Co has been sitting on Bhagoji Keer Road in Frazer Town for quite some time. The mornings are the busiest part of the day because that is when the trucks pull up and we have to unload all the crates. Everything smells like oranges or mangoes depending on what month it is. We spend a lot of time sorting through the fruit to make sure the bruised ones get moved aside. The sidewalk gets a bit cramped when we have a lot of stock delivered at once. Most of the people who come by are folks living nearby who just want a few things for their kitchen. We keep the shop open pretty late most nights. The wooden crates are stacked high against the walls, and there is always a bit of straw or paper clippings on the floor from the packaging. It gets quite warm in the middle of the day, so we try to keep the fruit out of the direct sunlight as much as possible. Sometimes the traffic on Bhagoji Keer Road is so bad that the delivery guys get stuck for an hour. We just wait it out and keep things organized. There is a lot of heavy lifting involved in moving the watermelons and the bigger boxes. It is hard work but it is what we do here in Frazer Town. We just focus on getting the crates in and the fruit out.
