About Tangerine Art Space – Art & Craft in Bengaluru
Tangerine Art Space is situated at No 103 in the Kumar Paradise building. That’s on Bp Wadia Road in Basavanagudi. It’s a nice enough building, mostly residential but we have our space here on the first floor. It’s not like those big galleries you see in the city center. This is more of a quiet, tucked-away spot. We have paintings and different art pieces hanging on the walls or leaning against the furniture. Sometimes the lighting isn't perfect, but it feels like a real workspace. People come by to look at things or just to talk about art. Basavanagudi has a lot of history, and being on Bp Wadia Road puts us in a good location. It’s a bit more relaxed than the busier parts of Bangalore. We spend our days arranging the space and looking at new works that come in. It can get a bit messy when we are moving things around or setting up for a small viewing. We don't have a huge staff, just a couple of us who like being around creative things. There’s always music playing in the background. If you visit, you might have to ring the bell to get in since it's an apartment complex. We keep fairly regular hours, but sometimes we stay late if we’re working on something specific. It’s a simple, honest space for art without any of the extra fluff you find in bigger places. We like the quiet vibe we have going on here.
