About Siddeshwara Arts & Frames – Art & Craft in Bengaluru
Working with frames over in Jayanagar is a pretty quiet way to spend the day. Our shop is on 10th A Main Road in the 3rd Block, right at 344/15. If you come by, you will probably see a fair amount of sawdust on the floor from the wood we have been cutting. We spend most of our hours measuring things and making sure the glass fits just right into the corners. It is not a job you can rush if you want it to look okay. People bring in all sorts of things, from old family photos that are starting to fade to new paintings they just bought. We just take down the details and get to work on the bench in the back. The shop is small and it is pretty much filled to the ceiling with different types of wood moldings and samples. It is a bit disorganized, but we know exactly where the glue and the staplers are kept. This is a family thing, my father did it before me and I just stayed on. We don't spend any money on ads or social media. Most people just walk in because they live nearby and saw us while walking. The morning is for the heavy cutting and the afternoon is for putting everything together. We usually have a small radio playing some old songs while we work. It is a good, steady life and it keeps us busy.
