About Famous Art Galleria – Art & Craft in Bengaluru
Our gallery is at number 182 on 2nd Cross road in Koramangala. It’s a small shop, mostly filled with wooden frames, glass sheets, and some artwork leaning against the walls. We’ve been here for a good number of years. Most of our day is spent at the workbench in the back. We cut the wood, join the corners, and fit the glass by hand. It’s dusty work and there’s always sawdust on our clothes. People bring in all sorts of things to get framed—old family photos, kids' drawings, or even sports jerseys. We don't have a big corporate setup. It’s just a couple of us working with our tools. Sometimes a frame doesn't come out perfect the first time, so we take it apart and do it again until it’s right. We aren't trying to be a world-famous museum. We just call ourselves Famous Art Galleria because it sounded nice when we started. The street outside is usually full of parked cars, so it can be a bit tricky to find us. We don't have a salesperson in a suit. If you come in, you’ll likely talk to the same person who is going to build your frame. We like the practical side of art. It’s about making things look decent so people can hang them up at home. We stay open until the light fades and then we head home.
