Sri Venkateshwara Sweet Meat Stall has been at Jayangar III Block Gandhinaga 301A for a long time. It’s a small shop, and we keep it pretty simple. We don't have fancy displays or neon lights. Most of our space is taken up by the big metal trays where we keep the sweets. We start early in the morning, usually before the sun is even up, to get things ready for the day. The kitchen is right there, so you can often hear the frying or smell the sugar syrup being made. It gets quite hot in there, especially during the summer months. Our staff consists of just a few of us who have been doing this for years. We don't use any complicated machinery. Everything is done by hand, from mixing the dough to cutting the pieces. Sometimes the shapes aren't perfectly uniform, but that’s just how it goes when you’re doing it manually. The shop gets very busy during festival seasons, and we often run out of things faster than we can make them. We don't have a delivery fleet or anything like that. People just walk over from the neighborhood or stop their scooters outside. It’s a basic setup at 301A, but it works for us. We just keep doing what we know how to do, day in and day out, without making a big fuss about it or trying to look like a modern franchise.
