Sri Vaishnavi Provision Store is located on the 18th Main Road in Kumarswamy Layout. Being at number 274, we see a lot of the local life passing by every hour of the day. Bangalore is always growing and changing, but this neighborhood still feels familiar to us. The shop is full of the usual provisions people need, like rice, flour, and cleaning supplies. I spend a lot of my time unpacking crates and making sure things are stacked safely on the shelves. The 18th Main is a busy stretch, so there is always the sound of horns and engines in the background. We don't have a big team, just a couple of us who know where every single item is kept. If someone asks for a specific brand of soap, I can usually reach for it without even looking. The floor is made of old stone and it’s seen a lot of feet over the years. We try to keep the place tidy, but when you're moving sacks of grain, a little bit always spills and you have to keep the broom handy. It’s just part of the job.
