Sri Gopala Krishna Provision Store

We have been here at number 78 on G 10 Street for quite a while now. Most days start early because being near the Halasuru metro station means there is always someone walking by needing something. It is just a regular provision store where we keep the usual things like rice, dal, and oils. Sometimes the shelves get a bit messy when it is busy, but we try to keep up. We don't have fancy displays or anything like that. People from around the neighborhood stop in while they are heading to the station or coming home from work. It gets loud outside with the traffic, but inside we just focus on getting people what they need quickly. My hands are usually busy with weighing items or packing bags. It’s a lot of standing around and waiting for the next person to walk through the door. We know many of the faces because they live right here in Halasuru. Sometimes the delivery trucks arrive late and things get a bit cramped in the aisles while we unload. It is just part of the daily grind. We keep the doors open through the day, even when it rains, which happens a lot here in Bangalore. There is no big team, just a couple of us making sure the stock doesn't run out. It's a simple life, really. We just stay here and do the work every day without much fuss. We've seen the area change a lot since the metro came.
