Sree Balaji Art Gallery

Sree Balaji Art Gallery is located at No.122/2 on Infantry Road. We are right near Sree Balaji Plywoods, which makes it easy to explain to people where we are. It’s a bit of an interesting spot because you have the heavy plywood stuff right next to our art space. Infantry Road is always packed with cars and people rushing somewhere, so stepping inside the gallery feels a bit different. It isn’t a huge museum-style place. It’s more of a local gallery where things are stacked a bit close together. We have frames leaning against the walls and various pieces of art waiting for their turn to be displayed or picked up. The lighting is okay, but we’re always adjusting the bulbs to try and show things better. There’s a constant layer of dust that comes in from the street, so we spend a lot of time with a cleaning cloth. It’s mostly just us here, organizing the pieces and talking to people who wander in from the sidewalk. We don't have any fancy brochures or anything. We just know where everything is and who painted what. Sometimes it gets a bit crowded when a new shipment of frames arrives, and we have to shuffle everything around. It’s a simple business, and we’ve been at this Infantry Road location for quite a while now. We just keep things moving and try to keep the glass clean.
