Shivashakthi Arts

Shivashakthi Arts is a small workshop at number 39 in Banashankari 2nd Stage. We are located on 6th Cross, specifically on Sri Krishna Road. It’s a nice enough street, usually some trees giving shade to the parked scooters. The shop is small and often smells like paint or whatever materials we are using that day. We don’t have a big staff, just a couple of us who know the craft. Sometimes the floor is covered in scraps and dust, but we try to sweep up every evening. It’s a hands-on kind of place. We don’t use much high-tech stuff, just the tools we’ve always used. People walk in from the street when they see the sign. It’s not a polished gallery or anything. It’s a working studio where things actually get made. Sometimes we have tea outside on the steps when things are slow. Sri Krishna Road is fairly easy to find once you get into the 2nd Stage area. The building is an older style, but it stays relatively cool inside. We don’t have any marketing people or a sales team. If you want something, you just talk to the person holding the brush. It’s a very direct way of doing things. We like it that way because it keeps things honest. We usually stay open until the sun goes down or the work is finished.
