Shanthi Sweets

We are located on New Thippasandra BEML Main Road, right at number 77. Shanthi Sweets is a busy little place, especially in the mornings and evenings. There is always the smell of something being prepared, usually sugar or frying dough. The counters are made of glass and we spend a lot of time wiping them down because of all the fingerprints. BEML Main Road is always full of people walking to the market or catching buses, so there is a constant stream of movement outside our door. We start pretty early to get everything ready before the first customers show up. It’s a lot of manual work, lifting heavy trays and making sure everything is placed just right. The kitchen area in the back is where most of the action happens. It gets quite hot back there, but that is just part of the job. We don’t have a big corporate structure; it’s mostly family and a few helpers who have been with us for years. Sometimes we run out of the popular items by midday and have to tell people to come back later. It’s a simple business, really. We just focus on making things the way we know how and keeping the shop running smoothly at number 77. It's a tiring job but seeing the same neighbors every day makes it feel worth it. We close up once the trays are mostly empty.
