Seema K K Fruits Centre

We are located in Parikh Estate, right in the Tharagupet area. Fruit is what we deal with every single day. It’s a busy part of town with a lot of movement and noise. We get the crates in very early, sometimes when it’s still dark outside and the street lights are on. We have to sort through everything because fruit doesn't stay fresh forever. Some days are better than others. You might get a really good batch of mangoes or apples that look perfect. Other days, you have to spend more time sorting out the bruised ones that no one wants to buy. Our shop is at 129, and it’s been there for quite some time now. It's a lot of lifting and moving heavy boxes around. The floor gets covered in scraps of paper and bits of fruit sometimes. We just sweep it up when we get a quiet moment. People come by asking what’s good today. We just tell them what arrived in the morning truck. It’s a simple way to earn a living. The area is quite crowded with big trucks and other shops doing the same thing. You hear a lot of shouting and horns honking all through the day. It’s just the usual atmosphere of Tharagupet. We keep the fruit stacked up high in the shop. It’s colorful but it’s definitely hard work. Your back hurts at the end of the day from all the bending and stacking. But we open up again the next morning. It's just how it goes. We are just local people selling what comes from the farms.
