Scoops

Scoops is tucked away in Vijaya Nagar Virgo Nagar B-31. It is not on the main road so you have to know where you are going to find us. It is a small shop. I painted the walls myself a few years back. There is a bit of a drip near the corner I never fixed. We have three big freezers that hum all day long. Sometimes they make a clicking sound that bothers me but as long as they stay cold it is fine. I keep a few chairs out front but most people just eat while they are walking. The kids from the nearby houses come by in the evening after school. I know their parents too. It is a quiet neighborhood mostly. I spend a lot of time checking the temperature gauges. If the power flutters I get nervous about the ice cream. We don't have a lot of variety, just the usual flavors that everyone likes. It is easier to manage that way. I do all the cleaning myself. Mop the floor, wipe the glass, empty the bin. It is a simple routine. Some days are slow and I just read the paper or watch the street. Other days I am busy from the moment I open. I like it better when it is busy. It makes the time go by faster. When the sun goes down I turn on the overhead light and it looks quite bright from the street. It is just a basic neighborhood spot for something cold.
