Sathkar Ice Creams

Sathkar Ice Creams is based out of the Shreeji Industrial Estate in Byatayanapura, specifically at Subhash Road 441. Being in an industrial estate means we are surrounded by workshops and other small factories. It’s not your typical ice cream parlor with bright colors and music. Our place is more about the big freezers and the cold storage rooms. We have a small front area where people can come and buy directly, but a lot of our work is just moving stock around. The hum of the cooling units is the main sound you hear all day at Subhash Road 441. It’s a bit of a walk from the main bus stop, but we have our regulars who don’t mind. We started this because we liked the idea of making something everyone enjoys. The walls are just plain, and we have some plastic chairs for whoever wants to sit for a minute. It gets really busy during the summer months, and sometimes we can barely keep up with the orders. During the monsoon, things slow down and we spend time fixing the machines or painting the walls to keep them clean. We don't have a big corporate office; it’s just a small room with a desk and some old files. It’s a straightforward business where we focus on keeping the freezers cold and the customers happy. We've been here for a while and the industrial estate feels like our second home now.
