Sastrys Condiments

Sastrys Condiments is located at number 458 on the 14th main in Ashok Nagar. We spend most of our time here mixing and packing various items that people use in their cooking. It usually smells quite strong of different spices as soon as you walk near our door. We are not a massive company with big machines. A lot of what we do is done by hand, from weighing the ingredients to sealing the packets. It’s a lot of repetitive work, but we are used to it by now. The floor often has a bit of dust from the powders we handle, and the shelves are always full of jars. We see many of the same people from the neighborhood every week. They come in for their regular supplies and we usually have a short chat. It’s a simple local shop. We don't have any polished marketing or a social media person. It’s just us making sure the quality is decent and the prices are fair. Sometimes we run out of things if the supply from the farmers is late. That’s just how it goes with this kind of work. We open up early to get a head start before the sun gets too hot. Dealing with the daily mess of a food business is just part of our life. We like being in Ashok Nagar and being part of the daily routine for the families around here.
