S Ps Vegetable Merchants

S Ps Vegetable Merchants is located on Jumma Masjid Line 173 in BTM 2nd Stage. If you come by early in the morning, around four or five, you’ll see us at our busiest. That’s when the trucks arrive with all the fresh stuff from the markets. We spend a lot of time sorting through crates of tomatoes, onions, and whatever greens are in season. The shop is right on the line, and it’s a tight space when all the crates are stacked on the pavement. We’ve been at this address, 173, for quite a few years. The ground is often a bit muddy from the vegetables being washed, and there’s always a lot of shouting back and forth as we get things ready. It’s a very local atmosphere. We know which neighbors like the smaller potatoes and who is looking for the freshest coriander. We don't have a fancy website or a marketing person. We just have our vegetables and a scale that’s seen better days. It’s hard work, especially when it’s raining and we have to cover everything with plastic sheets. But BTM 2nd Stage is a good place to be, and people here appreciate having fresh food close by. We just do our best to keep the stalls full and the prices fair for everyone who walks in. The business isn't fancy, but it gets the job done for us and the people living on the line.
