Rhythms Institute Of Fine Arts

If you go down Palanpur Road toward Evergreen Society 23, you’ll find Rhythms Institute Of Fine Arts. We’ve been tucked away in Kumara Park West for a long time. The building is part of the society, so it feels very much like a neighborhood spot. We do a mix of things here, from painting and drawing to music lessons. There’s usually a bit of charcoal dust on the tables and some paint stains on the floor, but that’s just how an art place looks. It’s not meant to be a museum. We have students of all ages coming in. Some are kids just starting out, and others are older folks who finally have time to pick up a brush or a violin. The lighting is okay, though we rely a lot on the windows during the day. It’s a quiet enough area, which helps when people are trying to focus on their work. We don’t have fancy equipment, just the basics that everyone needs to get started. Sometimes we run out of supplies and have to wait for the next delivery, but we manage. People like coming here because it’s not intimidating. You just walk in, find a spot, and start working on whatever project you have going. It’s a slow-paced environment where the clock doesn’t matter as much as the art does. We just keep the doors open and let people create their own things at their own speed.
