The Elite Arts

You can find us over at 10744-45, 15-Jhandewala Road. We are right in the middle of Nabi Karim, which is a pretty intense place to work. There’s always someone moving something or a cart being pushed past the door. We call ourselves The Elite Arts, but really it’s just a lot of hard work with our hands. We do a lot of different things related to art and materials here. The space is usually full of scraps and half-finished pieces. It’s not a clean gallery by any means. It’s more of a workshop where we’re constantly making something. The light in the morning is decent, but by the afternoon it gets a bit dark in the back of the shop. We’ve lived and worked around Jhandewala Road for ages. You get used to the noise of the street after a while. Most of the time, we’re just trying to finish an order on time. We don't spend money on fancy signs or anything. We just have the name on the door and that’s about it. People come to us when they need something specific made. Sometimes it’s a bit chaotic when we have too many things going on at once. But we manage to sort it out. It’s just how things go in this part of town. We keep the doors open and just keep working through whatever comes our way.
