Kalyani Kala Mandir

Our place is located at Doraisanipalya on Bannerghatta Road. We are quite close to the IIM Post, so we get a lot of students and staff coming by. It’s a bit of a different kind of spot. We’ve been in this area, 560076, for quite some time now. The building is at No. 151/1B. This is a family business through and through. Following a corporate handbook isn't our style. We just run things based on what we’ve learned over the years. Some days are very quiet and other days we are swamped. We just take it as it comes. Bannerghatta Road has grown from a much smaller lane into the huge, busy road it is today. Our building has stayed mostly the same though. Being helpful to everyone who walks in is what we try to do. Big advertising campaigns aren't for us. Most people find us because they live or work in the neighborhood. Our focus is on the daily tasks and making sure the work we do is what people asked for. Keeping a local business going with all the big stores opening up is hard work, but we have our regulars who support us. No scripts are used when we talk to people. It’s just us being ourselves. If you’re ever near the IIM area, you can stop in and see what we’re about. It’s a practical, no-nonsense kind of place. We don't have fancy lights or music, just the usual sounds of the shop.
