Raghavendra Veg

Raghavendra Veg is right here on Magadi Main Road, specifically in Azad Nagar on Linking Road 19. It’s been a while since we started this place. Most mornings start pretty early, around five or six, just to get the stoves going and the vegetables chopped up. There is always a lot of noise from the traffic outside, but inside we just focus on the cooking. People stop by on their way to work or when they’re just passing through the neighborhood. We don’t have any fancy seating or big decorations. It’s just a plain room with some tables and chairs that have seen better days. The walls could probably use a new coat of paint, but we haven't found the time for that yet. Usually, it's just a few of us running the show, making sure the sambar is ready and the rice is hot. Sometimes we run out of things earlier than expected, especially on busy Mondays. It gets crowded and a bit sweaty during the lunch hour, but that’s just how it is here. We know most of the faces that walk in, like the old man from the corner shop or the kids from the nearby school. It isn’t anything special to look at from the street, just a small board with our name on it. We just try to keep things moving and make sure nobody leaves hungry. It’s hard work, and our backs hurt by the end of the day, but it’s what we do.
