Raghavendra Provision Store

Raghavendra Provision Store is located at number 84 on Magadi Main Road in the VHBCS Layout 1st Stage of Shivaji Nagar. It’s a typical corner store where we sell just about everything you’d need for the house. We have stacks of grain sacks near the entrance and rows of soaps and shampoos further back. The space is pretty tight, so you have to be careful not to knock anything over with your elbows. We open up pretty early because the morning walkers like to pick up milk and bread before the sun gets too high. There is always a bit of a crowd around the counter, and everyone is usually in a hurry. We know most of our customers by name and what they usually buy on a Friday. The lighting is just a few long tubes on the ceiling that flicker once in a while. We don't have a fancy display, just items piled up where they fit. Behind the counter, we have the more expensive items and the ledger where we keep track of things. The street outside is always noisy with buses passing by, but inside it’s mostly just the sound of people chatting and the rustle of plastic bags. It’s a busy life, but it keeps us going from morning until we pull the shutters down at night. We make sure the milk crates are ready for the morning delivery before we leave.
