Raadha Kalpa is located over in Basavanagudi, on 4th Cross 1. If you know the area, you know it has that old Bangalore feel with the big trees and the quiet streets. Our space is pretty basic. We have a floor where we do our practice and teach. Most days, you can hear the sounds of bells or someone keeping rhythm. It’s not a flashy studio with mirrors everywhere and air conditioning. It’s more of a traditional setup where we focus on the movement and the learning. We spend a lot of time cleaning the floors before everyone arrives because that’s important for what we do. Basavanagudi is a great spot for us because it feels grounded. Sometimes people walking by stop to listen for a second. We don’t have a marketing team or anyone doing fancy social media stuff. It’s just us here, keeping the space ready and making sure the students know when to come. The rain sometimes hits the roof quite loud, and we just keep going. It’s a simple life. We deal with the day-to-day things like fixing a leaky tap or making sure there’s enough water for everyone. It’s a local place through and through. We appreciate the quiet routine of the 4th Cross. It’s where we belong and where we do our work without any unnecessary fuss or noise.
