Pallavi Ice Creams

It gets really hot in the afternoons here at Pallavi Ice Creams. We are located at 74 Sadashivnagar Maru Main Road. Most of the time we are just checking the freezers to make sure they are still running. If the power goes out, it’s a big headache for us. We have all the usual flavors in the tubs. Sometimes the scoops get stuck or the floor gets a bit sticky because kids drop their cones. We try to mop it up when we can. It’s a small shop, really. Just enough room for the counter and a small bench outside. We get a lot of students after school who come in for a quick cup. We don't have any big chairs or music playing. It’s just the sound of the compressors humming away in the background. My cousin and I take turns behind the counter. On weekends it gets a bit crowded and we have to move fast. We don't really do anything fancy with toppings, just the basic stuff people ask for. The sign outside is a bit faded from the sun, but people in Sadashivnagar know where we are. We've been at this spot for years. It’s not a big corporate chain or anything like that. Just a place to get something cold when the sun is beating down on the main road. We keep the napkins on the counter and try to keep the glass clean from fingerprints. It’s okay work, keeps us busy enough.
