I’m located at number 7 on the HMT Main Road in Yeshwantpur. The area is called Subedar Palya, and it’s a place that always seems to be moving. Being on a main road means there is always noise from the trucks and the buses, but you get used to it after a week or two. My workspace isn’t very large, but it’s got everything I need to get through the day. I’ve been here for a while, so I’ve seen the shops around me change hands many times. It’s a gritty part of town, very industrial and busy, which suits me just fine. I don’t need a polished front or a big reception area. Most of the time, I’m just busy with the tasks at hand. People who come to see me usually know exactly what they’re looking for. The entrance is right off the main road, so it’s easy to spot if you’re driving by, though parking can be a bit of a puzzle sometimes. I usually keep the door open to let some air in, even with the dust from the road. It’s a working man’s neighborhood. There’s a tea stall not too far away that makes a decent brew, which helps during the long afternoons. It’s just a basic office where I do my thing and try to keep things moving. There is always something happening outside on HMT road every single day.
