Pal Sweet

Our shop is situated at 998/N in Koramangala. It’s a small space that we’ve used for our sweet shop for quite a while. The kitchen is in the back, and that’s where we spend most of our time. It gets very hot because we have large pots of sugar and milk boiling for hours. We don't have a large team of employees. It’s mostly family and a couple of local guys who have been with us for years. We make everything fresh in small batches. The front of the shop has a few glass display cases where we put the sweets out every morning. Koramangala has grown a lot and there are big buildings all around us now. Our little shop hasn't changed much though. The floor is made of old stone and the ceiling is a bit low. We don't use any fancy packaging or have a website. We just wrap the sweets in plain boxes or paper bags. Most of our business comes from the people who live in the surrounding streets. They know us and we know them. My daughter helps me with the paperwork in the evenings after she gets back from her job. We don't have a big mission or goals to expand. We just want to keep making our sweets and serving the local community. It’s a simple, honest way to spend the day and it keeps us going.
