Pabrai'S Fresh & Naturelle Ice Creams

We set up shop here in HSR Layout because it is a neighborhood where people are always out for a walk in the evenings. Our place is simple. We have the freezers lined up and a few places to sit, though most people just take their scoops and keep walking. Making ice cream is mostly about temperature. We spend a lot of time making sure the compressors are working right so nothing melts in the heat. We use different ingredients depending on what we can get each week. Some flavors are more popular than others, but we try to keep a decent variety in the tubs. It is a quiet job for the most part, except when a big group of kids comes in after school. Then it gets a bit messy with the spoons and napkins, but we clean it up. We do not go in for all those bright neon signs or loud music. We just keep the lights on and the glass clean so people can see what we have available. It is nice to see families coming in on the weekends. HSR has grown a lot, and there are so many new buildings now, but we are still here doing the same thing every day. Scooping ice cream is not complicated, but it takes a bit of muscle if the tubs are fresh out of the deep freeze. We just like being part of the local scene here and seeing people enjoy a cold treat when it is hot out.
