Omega Book World

Omega Book World is tucked away on 4th Cross in Jankiram Layout. If you're coming down Hennur Main Road, you really have to keep an eye out for the turn because it is easy to miss. We have stacks of books almost everywhere you look. Some are on the shelves and some are still in brown boxes on the floor because we simply ran out of space months ago. It's just two of us working here most days, so we spend a lot of time just dusting the covers and moving piles around to find what someone wants. The light in the back of the shop is a bit dim, so you might need to look closely at the spines of the books. We carry a bit of everything, from school textbooks to old stories people haven't thought about in years. It gets very quiet in the afternoons, which is nice for reading a few pages ourselves when there are no customers. We don't have a fancy computer system to track every single item, so we usually just remember where we put things. Sometimes we find a book we forgot we even had in the store. Customers come in looking for specific things, and we do what we can to find them in the piles. The building at 128 is an older one, so it stays fairly cool. We’ve been here long enough that we know most of the people who walk past our door. It’s not a large place, but it's full of paper.
