You can find Ok-Em Arts And Crafts over at 59 Krumbigal Road. It’s a fairly quiet street most days, which suits us just fine. We’ve been working out of this space for a long time now. The building is older, but it has plenty of room for all the materials we need for our projects. We mostly deal with traditional items and handmade stuff. It’s the kind of place where your hands get dirty and there is always something being glued or carved in the back room. We don’t have a fancy storefront with big glass windows. It’s more of a workshop where people who know about us come to see what we’ve been making lately. The shelves are usually packed with different crafts, and sometimes it's hard to find exactly what you're looking for without asking one of us to help. We like it that way, though. It feels more real. We aren't interested in being a big corporate chain. We just like making things. Sometimes we run out of certain supplies and have to wait for a delivery, which can be annoying, but we manage. Most of the people who work here have been doing this since they were young. It’s a skill that takes time to learn. If you're walking down Krumbigal Road, you might miss us if you aren't looking closely, but we’re always inside working on something new. It is a slow process but it is a good way to live.
