Nanjundeshwara Provision Store

Running Nanjundeshwara Provision Store at Rabrindranath Tagore Nagar means we see a lot of the same faces every single day. We are located right at Adajan Road 7, which is a fairly easy place to find if you are familiar with the area. The shop itself is small and packed tight with sacks of grain and rows of tins. We don't really have a lot of extra space, so things are stacked pretty high. Most of the work involves keeping track of what’s running low and making sure the supplies are fresh. It can be quite a task when the new stock arrives and we have to move everything around to fit it in. The street outside is usually full of people walking by, and we get a good amount of noise from the bikes and cars. Sometimes it gets a bit chaotic behind the counter when three or four people are asking for things at once, but we manage to get through it. We use a simple ledger for most things and keep the scale calibrated. It’s mostly just us here, making sure the neighborhood has what it needs like salt, oil, and sugar. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but for now, they hold up okay. We just stay focused on the daily chores and keeping the place running smoothly for everyone on Adajan Road.
