Running a place like Mushroom on 4th Main Road 466 in Koramangala means dealing with a lot of traffic. It's usually busy outside, and the noise never really stops until late. We opened up here because it seemed like a decent spot. The kitchen gets hot, especially during the middle of the day. We spend a lot of time just cleaning tables and making sure things are in the right place. It’s a bit of a scramble when a big group walks in unexpectedly. My brother helps out with the inventory, and sometimes we run out of things like napkins or specific ingredients because we didn't count right. It's a learning process even after all this time. We don't have any fancy decorations. The chairs are just plain wood. We keep the windows open when it’s not too dusty. Most of the people who come in are just locals from the neighborhood. They know where we are. We try to keep the floors swept, but with the door always open, it’s hard. Sometimes the stove acts up and we have to call the guy to fix it. That's just part of the daily routine here. We aren't doing anything revolutionary. We just provide a place to sit and eat something. It gets tiring, but seeing the same people come back makes it feel okay. We’re just here on the 4th Main doing what we can to keep the doors open and the food ready.
