Manoj Provision Stores

We’ve been here at number 54 on S M Lane for a good while now. Akkipet is always crowded, and our little provision store is right in the thick of it. Most days start early for us, usually around 7 or 8 when the first deliveries show up at the door. It’s a lot of lifting bags of rice and moving boxes around before the sun gets too high. People from the neighborhood stop in for their regular pulses, oils, and small things they forgot to buy earlier. We know most of the faces around here by now. Sometimes the lane gets so packed that even a cycle can’t pass through, but that is just how life goes in this part of town. Our shelves are filled with the basics that everyone needs for their kitchen. It is a simple way to make a living, really. There isn’t much space to move inside the shop, but we manage to find whatever people ask for. The dust from the street comes in, so we spend a lot of time wiping things down. We just keep things moving, selling what people need and chatting a bit when it’s not too busy. It’s just us here, doing the daily work and making sure the stock doesn't run out. No big plans, just keeping the shop open and serving the folks who walk by our spot on the lane every day.
