Manmandir Provision Stores

The shop has been in Akkipet on S M Line for a good while. Our place, Manmandir Provision Stores, is at number 54, and it’s a typical old-school provision store where things are stacked up wherever they fit. We sell the basics like rice, pulses, sugar, and oil. The morning starts with opening the shutters and sweeping the front. Then the delivery guys start showing up with sacks that we have to drag inside. Akkipet is a busy trade area, and S M Line is always buzzing with people looking for a bargain. We have a lot of regular customers who come in with their lists, and we spend time weighing out everything into small bags. The wooden counters are worn down from years of use, and the light inside isn't the brightest, but we know where everything is kept. Sometimes a customer wants something we ran out of, and we have to tell them to come back tomorrow after the next delivery. It's a simple life, just minding the store and talking to the people who walk in. We don't do home deliveries or anything fancy like the big supermarkets. People just come, buy what they need, and carry it back themselves. In the evenings, the street gets even more crowded, and the noise from the nearby shops is quite loud. We usually close up late once the foot traffic dies down. It’s honest work and keeps us busy from dawn till we finally lock up at night and head home ourselves.
