Mamatha J

I am based at 476 Krishnarajpuram, on Kumbhar Street. This is a very old part of K R Puram. Kumbhar Street has a lot of history to it, and you can still see people making things by hand nearby. I’ve been in this spot for quite a while now. The building is simple, nothing special to look at, but it’s home for my work. It’s a busy street with people always moving around, especially near the market area. You can hear the sounds of the shops opening up early in the morning and the shutters rattling. I like being here because everything I need is within walking distance. I don't use any fancy technology to run things. I still use a notebook and a pen for most of my planning and notes. It just feels more real that way. My space is often a bit cluttered with papers and books, but I know where everything is. People in the neighborhood often stop by just to say hello or ask how things are going. It’s that kind of place. I don't put on any acts or try to sound like I’m more than I am. I’m just Mamatha, doing my work on Kumbhar Street every day. If you’re looking for the address, it’s near the old section of Krishnarajpuram. The traffic can be a bit of a nightmare on the main road, so it’s better to come on a scooter if you can. I’m here most days from morning until the afternoon.
