Basaveshwara Nagar is where I've set up my place, specifically over at number 14. This is in the Muneshwar Nagar area of Pattegarpallya. My name is Mahatappa Shankar Sutar M S, and I’ve been running things from here for a long time. It’s a local neighborhood where everyone kind of knows each other. My workspace is simple. I don't keep a lot of unnecessary stuff around. It’s just what I need to do the work. The building isn't anything special to look at, but it’s solid. I spend most of my days here, starting early and often finishing when it gets dark. Pattegarpallya can be a bit crowded, especially on market days or when there’s a festival nearby. You can hear the sounds of the street from my front door. I handle a lot of different tasks, mostly helping out people from the community who need my specific skills. I’m not part of a big corporation or anything. It’s just me, Mahatappa, doing what I know how to do. The floor is concrete and the walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but it works for me. I have a small bench outside where people wait if I’m already busy with someone else. It’s a humble place, but we get things done. I prefer it this way. It feels more honest than being in a fancy high-rise building somewhere else in the city. The street outside is usually busy with walkers.
