Started the day early at Frazer Town 720. The air is always a bit cooler when we unlock the front door. We spend most of our time in the back where the large vats are. There is a lot of stirring involved in what we do. It gets hot, especially around noon when the sun hits the front windows. We don't have a big team, just a few of us who know the routine. Most people who walk in are from the neighborhood. They know what they want before they even look at the trays. We keep the glass counters wiped down, but they always get fingerprints on them by the afternoon. It’s just how it is. Sometimes the delivery trucks block the street for a minute, and there’s some honking. We just keep working through it. The smell of sugar and milk stays on our clothes even after we go home. We don’t really do anything fancy with the packaging. Usually, it’s just the standard boxes we’ve used for a while. We put the trays out, wait for the regulars, and talk about the weather or the traffic. It’s a quiet way to spend the day. Nothing much changes here, which is fine by us. We’ve been at this address for a bit now and the walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but we haven't gotten around to it yet.
