We’ve been here on St. Johns Road at number 50 for a while now. Most days it’s just us trying to keep the shelves stocked and making sure the food is fresh for whoever walks in. It gets pretty loud outside with the traffic, especially in the afternoons. Sometimes the delivery truck blocks the narrow part of the road and people honk, which is always a bit stressful. We started this because we needed something to do and we knew people around here wanted easy food options. It isn't a fancy place. We have some old shelves and the floor has a few scuffs near the back where we move the crates around. My cousin helps out when things get busy. We spend a lot of time just tidying up or checking the fridge temperatures. If you’re walking down St. Johns Road, you’ll see the sign. It’s nothing special to look at, but we keep it going every day. Last winter was tough with the rain coming in through the front door a bit, so we put down some extra mats to keep the floor dry. We usually just talk about the neighborhood or what’s happening on the street while we work. It’s a simple life here at L M Foods. We don't have a big team, just a couple of us making sure things run okay. It's mostly about getting the inventory right and hoping the electricity doesn't cut out during a storm.
