Kamalkala Art Gallery

Our gallery is located at 354/3 Jayanagar on Maulana Azad Road. It’s a place where we keep a lot of different artworks and frames. We aren't one of those high-end galleries where you feel like you can't touch anything. It’s a bit more relaxed here. We have paintings leaning against the walls and stacks of frames waiting to be used. The smell of wood and a bit of old paint is always in the air. We spend our time dusting the glass and rearranging the pieces so everything fits. Jayanagar is a busy area, and Maulana Azad Road has plenty of people walking by. Some people just wander in out of curiosity while others are looking for something specific for their walls. We don't have a big staff, so if you come in, you’re usually talking to the person who actually put the art up. We don't use any fancy lighting systems, just the regular bulbs and whatever sun comes through the front. Sometimes we’re busy fixing a broken frame or cleaning a canvas that’s gotten a bit dirty. It’s a slow-paced kind of business, which is nice. We like having the art around us all day. It’s not about being famous or having expensive shows. It’s just a local spot for people who like looking at interesting things and maybe taking something home.
