Kala Alayam is located at 307/A in the Banashankari 3rd Stage area. It is a relatively quiet part of the neighborhood, which is good for what we do. We spend our days surrounded by art and students who want to learn something new. The building is simple and doesn't stand out much from the others on the street, but inside there is a lot of activity. We have different materials and supplies scattered around because art can be a bit messy. It is not a place with shiny floors or expensive decorations. We just have what we need to teach and practice. Banashankari has a nice feel to it, and we like being tucked away in this stage of the development. Most of our students come from nearby houses, so it feels like a very local community gathering. We don't follow a strict corporate schedule; we just open up and wait for the students to arrive. Sometimes we sit and talk about the work for a long time before even picking up a brush or starting a lesson. It is a relaxed atmosphere where people can feel comfortable. We have been here for a while and don't plan on changing much. It is just a steady, quiet place to focus on being creative without any pressure or loud advertisements. That is how we like it.
