Our place is located on Lakshmaiah Reddy Road in Ulsoor. It’s been our home for a long time, right at number 20. When you walk around this part of Bangalore, you can usually tell where we are. We spend most of our time dealing with the machines and the cold storage units. Making ice cream involves a lot of waiting and checking temperatures constantly. It’s a bit of a process, but we’ve gotten the hang of it over the decades. The building isn't much to look at from the outside, but inside there’s a lot happening every day. We have guys coming and going with deliveries early in the morning before the sun gets too high. It’s important to keep everything frozen, obviously, so we worry a lot about the power and the cooling systems. We aren't really the type to have big meetings or corporate lunches. Most of us just wear our jackets because it's cold inside and we get on with the work. Ulsoor has changed quite a bit since we first set up here, but the road out front is still as busy as ever. We like being part of this neighborhood. It’s a bit of a maze sometimes with the traffic, but we make it work. Every day is pretty much the same, mixing things up and making sure the tubs are ready to go out to the shops across the city. We keep the machines running until late most nights.
