Joy Ice Cream

Joy Ice Cream is located at number 45 in Rajarajeshwari Nagar. It’s a fairly small shop tucked into the neighborhood. We have a few big freezer chests that take up most of the space inside. The lights are a bit bright, which helps at night when the street gets dark. We don't have any tables inside, so most people just stand on the pavement outside. You can usually see a few kids hanging around after school hours. The walls have some simple pictures of what we have. It’s not a designer space. We’ve kept it the same way for a long time. The door squeaks a bit when you open it. We spend our day making sure the machines are running and the freezers are cold enough. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to deal with that. It’s just a local business. We know the parents and the kids from the houses nearby. It’s a regular part of the street. We don't use any complicated words to describe what we do. It’s just ice cream in a tub or a cone. We open in the morning and stay open until late evening. The neighborhood is mostly families, so it’s usually quite friendly. It's just a simple, honest shop without any extra fluff or expensive decor. Sometimes the neighbors come in just to chat while they pick out a flavor.
