Inspirations Framing Gallery

Inspirations Framing Gallery is our shop on MTB Road 113 in Seshadripuram. It is a messy place most of the time because we are always cutting wood and glass. There is sawdust on the floor and scraps of matting piled up in the corners. We’ve been framing things here for quite some time now. People bring in all sorts of stuff, from old family photos that are falling apart to big paintings they bought on vacation. We have to be careful with the glass so we don't cut ourselves, though it happens sometimes anyway. Seshadripuram is a busy part of town and MTB Road always has trucks or scooters moving around. Inside the gallery, it’s a bit more focused. We spend a lot of time showing people different frame samples until they find one they like. We don’t use any automated machines; most of the work is done with hand tools and a lot of patience. It’s a small shop and if more than three people come in at once, it feels crowded. We like being in this neighborhood because it has a lot of history and the other shop owners are good people. We keep the doors open during the day so the breeze comes in, but that also means we have to dust the frames a lot. It’s just honest work, putting a nice border around someone’s memories. We just work until the light fades then lock the front gate.
