Hot Chips

Our shop is over in Jayanagar at 604/21. It’s pretty easy to find if you follow the smell of frying potatoes. We spend almost all day standing near the big vats of oil, slicing and frying different kinds of chips. It gets very hot in the afternoons, especially when the sun is hitting the front of the shop. We use a lot of salt and spices, so there is always a bit of dust in the air. People usually stop by on their way home from work to pick up a bag or two. We don't have a place for people to sit down, so it's all over-the-counter stuff. We’ve been doing this for a while and our hands are used to the heat by now. Sometimes we try new things like different banana chips or spicy mixes just to see if people like them. It’s a simple business. We buy the bags, we buy the oil, and we fry the chips. There isn't much more to it than that. Jayanagar is a nice place to be, and we like being on this particular street. The neighbors are friendly and they often pop their heads in just to say hello. We keep things basic and honest, just like the snacks we sell. We don't have a marketing team or fancy packaging. We just have good, fresh chips and we work hard to keep it that way.
